Entering provides you with much more than an opportunity to win prizes. It's your opportunity to change the world, and to get help from a network of leading people and institutions to support you.

Total prizes given in 2009-10 will be $70,000 including cash prizes and in-kind services including legal, tax, and accounting services. In addition, winners benefit from publicity opportunities and from in-depth business incubation including mentorship, introductions to financiers, potential beta customers and go-to-market partners.

All Participants will receive:

• Feedback and coaching on their business plans, networking and team-building opportunities, as well as guidance on start-up basics

• An opportunity to find team members for their plans from the Imagine H2O network

• Exposure to the opportunity in water efficiency businesses and water innovation through Imagine H2O seminars and workshops

• Access to events with fellow competition participants as well as world leading water experts, investors, executives, and governmental and non-profit stakeholders.

Second and Third Place Finalists will receive:

• Cash prize of $7,500

• Up to $5,000 of in-kind legal services from Cooley Godward Kronish LLP

• Up to $5,000 of in-kind accounting services from PricewaterhouseCoopers

• Introductions to beta customers, financiers, and go-to-market partners

• Publicity at the Imagine H2O Showcase in February 2010

Winners will receive:

• Cash prize of $15,000

• Up to $5,000 of in-kind legal services from Cooley Godward Kronish LLP

• Up to $5,000 of in-kind accounting services from PricewaterhouseCoopers

• Introductions to beta customers, financiers, and go-to-market partners

• Publicity at the Imagine H2O Showcase in February 2010

Future Imagine H2O Prizes (targeted for 2010) include:

• Policy Prize: Imagine H2O and its partners will launch a future prize to invite innovation in a particular segment of water policy. The authors of the winning policy outline will receive cash prizes and incubation support to transform their solutions into a formal legislative proposal.

• Youth Prize: Imagine H2O and its partners will launch a future prize targeting high school students as the next generation of water innovators. The best inventors will receive cash prizes and incubation support to turn their ideas into business plans with real-world application.
